ADARA-RMC and Chemonics International facilitated a one-day stakeholders engagement workshop following one week of field-based data collection across Montserrado, Nimba, Bassa and Bong Counties to understand issues related to key thematic areas within the education ecosystem of Liberia. The consultations included stakeholders at the central and decentralized levels of the education systems, as well as the National Teachers Association, the National Parents Teachers Association, KEEP Liberia, FREE Liberia, DEEP Liberia, We-CARE Liberia, FAWE- Liberia, the private and faith-based school systems.
The key thematic areas:
1. Teaching and learning practices
2. Age-appropriate enrollment
3. Teaching-learning materials and the book supply chain
4. Teacher’s management
5. Application of evidence-based teaching practices
Participants at the workshop included Ministry of Education officials, County Education officers, District Education Officers, private sector actors, and key stakeholders in the education sector.
